Philip Mоrris continues to help start up small businesses in Serbia

Thanks to the financial support from the company Philip Morris Operations a.d., a new cycle of national program "Start Up for Your Business" begins.

Through the program, in-kind grants will be provided for purchase of equipment necessary to start up or improve small businesses. Also, a great number of training is available to all beneficiaries of the program, as well as advice from ENECAs economy experts.

In the last four years, thanks to the "Start Up for Your Business" program, 278 small and family businesses were started or improved, employing in that way approximately 1.000 people.

“During last year's open call, for 110 in-kind grants, 3300 potential beneficiaries applied, which shows the presence of entrepreneurship spirit in Serbia. Economic situation in Serbia is indeed difficult, and business beginners have no easy task in fighting in the market battle. However, the fact is that through our project, we noted a hundred percent success rate in so far supported 278 small businesses. It is a sign that we are on the right track. Creative entrepreneurship ideas are essential for future economic recovery of Serbia,“ said Jelena Preradovi Stevanovic from the company Philip Morris.

"Start Up for Your Business" is implemented by non-government organization ЕNЕCА and significance and good results of the program in the last four years has been secured with the support of implementing partners. National employment service has a role to inform unemployed people through their branch network and offices and help them to apply for the program.
