Cooperation between students and entrepreneurs in a unique way through A2B program

Program "Academic to Business" (A2B) is a result of many years of successful cooperation between organizations "Center for Leadership Development” and ENECA which implement programs "Start Up for Your Future" and "Start Up for Your Business." These programs aim to support, empower and motivate young individuals to improve their knowledge and skills and thus contribute to the development of their city and society.

The synergy of academic and entrepreneurial community spawned an opportunity to create new business models and innovative practices that simultaneously motivate young people to get involved in entrepreneurship and improve the general business environment. By participating in the program "A2B" students had the opportunity to use the knowledge gained at university and implement it into practice, through learning and analyzing real entrepreneurial problems, developing critical thinking, working in teams, developing the presentation skills and healthy competitive spirit.

Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, had a nice opportunity to work with young and proactive people, gain insight into different approach in overcoming their business challenges, gain new, modern, original solutions to improve their business and after applying those now solutions, maybe even become more competitive in their field of business. Entrepreneurs participating in A2B program were supported through earlier cycles of the program "Start Up for Your Business" Dragoslav Gavrilovic, Irena Ilic, Biljana Jovanovic, Snezana Gregović, Marko Mitic and Nikola Milosevic.

After three days of intensive training with skillful trainers, with the assistance of mentors from ENECA and constant communication with entrepreneurs, student teams produced original and innovative solutions for entrepreneurs in the fields of marketing, production optimization and innovation which they presented to the expert jury. The jury consisted of representatives from the city, company Philip Morris, which financially supports this program and representatives of civil society and the Faculty of Economics but as well Tatjana Djordjevic, a successful entrepreneur, supported through the program "Start Up for Your Business" back in 2009. Tatjana was pleased to participate in the jury in front of her company AV Mechanics that still operates successfully and this is another proof of the success and longevity of cooperation of entrepreneurs supported through our various programs and ENECA.

First place went to the team of Alexander Dincic who worked with the owner of the production of cakes "Slatka korpica" Irena Ilic. The second-ranked team is a team of student Marko Djordjevic, whose client was Snežana Gregović and her shop for leather goods "Da Da Bags", and third place won the team of Martina Veselinovic, who worked with bakery "Frigoled plus" and entrepreneur Dragoslav Gavrilovic. Apart from scholarships for students, entrepreneurs as well had been awarded with financial support for implementation of the new, modern and original solutions created by students, from the company Philip Morris.
