The third phase of the project "Poverty Reduction through support to start up"

Philip Morris Operations and ENECA Nis signed the Grant Agreement on 22nd September 2011, on continuation of the project "Poverty Reduction through support to start-up businesses“. The total value of the project funded by Philip Morris is 11.77 million RSD.

Through the cooperation between socially responsible companies and NGOs, another 55 clients will be supported in the next nine months. Together with already supported 102 clients so far in the previous two phases of this project, it makes a total of 157 small businesses supported in the City of Nis.

All interested having sound idea for starting own businesses or expanding of existing ones in order to endeavor employment and regular income can apply.

All 55 clients who sign the grant contracts will receive equipment/material in average value of 180,000.00 RSD, with the required supporting trainings, business and vocational and business consultancy for establishment / expansion of supported businesses. Those who sign the contracts with ENECA will be obliged to register their business activities, perform 15 hours of community service, and repay 20% of the value of granted equipment.

Within the information campaign that will start mid of November, all interested applicants will be given detailed information on project goals, terms and conditions for application, as well as application forms followed by detailed instruction for completing it.
