Invitation to participate in the EIT Climate-KIC program “Journey 2020”

We would like to inform you that the invitation to participate in the EIT Climate-KIC program “Journey 2020” is open. It is an intensive four-week summer school focused on climate action, innovation, system transformation and building a community dedicated to combating climate change. Journey has been organizing the EIT Climate-KIC in collaboration with renowned universities and other partner organizations since 2010. So far, more than 3,000 graduates have participated, generating about 400 great project and business ideas. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce has been implementing the EIT Climate-KIC programs “Accelerator”, “Pioneers into Practice”, “Climate Launchpad” and “Journey” since 2016.

Journey is intended for final year students, graduates, future MBAs, masters and doctors. Participants will stay in the period 28.06-25.07.2020. or 2-20.08.2020. at 3 locations in Europe. Within the July and August editions of the program, participants were divided into 5 groups. At the first two locations, they are in a group of 40 participants, and at the third location all five groups gather at the final summit. Participants have the opportunity to learn and work in an international multidisciplinary team and develop their ideas, projects, products or services with the support of experienced mentors. During the program, each of the groups is accompanied by two trainers who support and inspire participants as they work on climate challenges. Climate-KIC respects diversity and accepts applications from all candidates who have the appropriate qualifications, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or ethnic origin. The distribution of participants by location is determined by Climate-KIC, taking into account the differences and at the same time striving for their equal distribution.  For example, last year’s edition of Journey was attended by representatives of 60 different nationalities.

Participation in the Journey program is free. Climate-KIC bears the costs of accommodation, travel between locations, local transport and provides most of the food. Participants bear the cost of travel from home to the first location and from the third location to the home, as well as meals. Prerequest for participation is a good knowledge of English. More detailed information about the program can be found at  https://journey.climate-kic.org/contact-us-faqs .
