ENECA implements the project “Development of a sustainable bioenergy market in Serbia” in cooperation with the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), which is financed by the Ministry for Economic Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ).
The goal of the project is the promotion of a sustainable way of using bioenergy in the Nišava district, through a comprehensive approach based on:
The formation of a working group as a mechanism for the formation of bioenergy policies and goals;
Increasing regional capacities in the field of sustainable use of bioenergy;
Sustainable way of using biomass;
Increasing public awareness of the sustainable way of using biomass.
The target groups of the project are decision-makers from the public and private sectors, companies related to bioenergy (including wood, boiler and similar production), civil society organizations dealing with bioenergy and the environment, the media, forest owners, municipal energy managers or civil servants in charge of energy issues, representatives of public companies and institutions (municipal heating plants, utility companies, schools).
The project is implemented on the territory of the Nišava district, for a duration of 5 months.
