The program is based on economic support of local development in Serbia and Montenegro. The main activities were concentrated on providing business incubation through the provision of assistance in the form of equipment and / or materials to small entrepreneurs as well as providing business and professional training and coaching.
Support to private sector development was provided exclusively within existing local development strategies with the participation of local authorities in the whole process and in cooperation with local development partners.
The target group, out of a total of 300 small businesses in the territories of three municipalities: Vranje, Leskovac and Pirot, was assisted by a donation in the form of equipment / materials (whose average value was 1,200 EUR) provided by HELP in cooperation with municipalities.
Trainings were provided by local development partners, while HELP also sought to include a local capacity development component consisting of trainings and workshops which was held for just over 70 people in all three municipalities.
