In partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), ENECA began activities in April on the income component of the project “Support to Refugees and Displaced Persons in Serbia”.
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the main goals of the RS national strategy for solving the problems of refugees and displaced persons in terms of providing housing solutions and providing income support.
Within the project, ENECA will implement an income component that should contribute to direct employment and increase the opportunity for hiring refugees and displaced persons by awarding 60 non-financial grants with an average value of 1,500.00 euros to start a business in the municipalities of Bela Palanka, Doljevac and Svrljig (20 each).
In addition to the procurement of equipment / materials, supported clients will be provided with business and professional training to ensure the sustainability of their businesses.
The selection of clients is based on social criteria related to the social status of the potential client (that assistance is really necessary), while the economic criteria ensures the profitability and sustainability of the proposed business activity.
