The first training was held within the project “Aid for Trade – Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-industrial Sector”

On Tuesday, October 23, the first workshop and training within the project “Aid for Trade-Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-industrial Sector” was held in the premises of the Agricultural Club in Belgrade.

The workshop “Business Planning and Business Support” was attended by 17 representatives of companies with the greatest potential, which were selected through a application to participate in the project. On behalf of UNDP, Goran Simunović, project coordinator, greeted the participants and opened the workshop.

The project “Aid for Trade-Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-industrial Sector” is funded by the Government of the Russian Federation and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The goal of the project is to strengthen supported businesses through business expansion and growth, improving competitiveness and market positioning, diversifying the existing range based on market needs, creating added value, certification process, export promotion and access to new markets. Seventeen (17) micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs who have export potential and are ready to introduce and implement international standards in the field of food safety were selected.

Project beneficiaries will be provided training in various business areas (planning, marketing, branding, legal, business and accelerator support, innovation implementation, sales, funding sources, etc.),  constant mentoring support, as well as participation in the selected regional food and beverage fair, and promotional and sales activities. In addition, the five participants with the greatest potential will have the opportunity to implement HACCP, but also other standards that are very important for future market expansion and exports.

The workshop “Business Planning and Business Support” was attended by 17 representatives of companies with the greatest potential, which were selected within the application for participation in the project, and this is the first in a series of workshops that will be held in the coming period.
