The project “Active Entrepreneurs for a Better Business Environment” is implemented by ENECA as part of the Program of Support to Civil Society and the Media in the Field of European Integration, financed by the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden, and implemented by the Belgrade Open School (BOŠ).

The general goal of the project is to contribute to European integration and democratic development in Serbia by involving the civil sector in decision-making processes. In order to achieve this goal, our task is to contribute to the creation of a favorable business environment for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs through involvement in decision-making processes, the creation of strategic development documents and Public Policy Concepts.

The expected results of the project are:

1. Achieved participation in Thematic Working Groups within the Niš City Development Plan for the period 2021-2027;

2. Conducted analysis of the Budget of the city of Nis with an emphasis on funds intended for agriculture and rural development, innovations and the MSME sector;

3. Conducted consultative meetings with at least 10 MSMEs from Niš;

4. Promotional materials created and promoted for the needs of the advocacy campaign and increasing the visibility of the project;

5. Collected suggestions and proposals of relevant interested parties;

6. Collected suggestions, comments and proposals of entrepreneurs regarding the first draft of the Development Plan;

7. Creation of a strategy to help economic sectors in the City of Niš that are most affected by the crisis caused by the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus;

8. Concepts of public policy developed.
