More and more young people have a problem with finding a job and often the main problem for employment is the lack of practical experience. The “Education to employment” program that we are implementing is here to help young people gain their first practical experience and to make it easier for them to find a job. The project “Education to employment” is a partnership project of the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Serbia.

In order to help young people learn the skills they need, the program has formed a network of partner organizations at the level of Serbia in: Kruševac, Pirot, Knjaževac, Novi Pazar, Kragujevac and from now on in Niš.

On-the-job training

On-the-job training is an ideal opportunity for young people to acquire the skills and knowledge that employers are looking for, thus providing young people with a chance to find work faster and gain economic independence. Our trainings are effective because they are carried out directly in companies, in real conditions, at potential employers with the constant support of trained mentors who are there to make your first practical experience emotionally positive for both of you.

Career counseling

Career guidance and counseling is always a relevant and important area for the individual and society and represents a link between the world of work and the world of education. Young people often face challenges related to the choice of school and profession, as well as fears related to the changing labor market. Through career counseling, it is easier for young people to choose a faculty and profession, and it is ensured that the needs of employers are aligned with the interests and abilities of young people. The main users of career guidance services are pupils, students, the unemployed and employers.

Within the project “Education to employment” and Gateway Solutions AG from Switzerland, two tools were developed (Basic Check – an instrument for assessing abilities and aptitudes, and career quiz WayFi) which, in addition to the other tools we use, represent a significant relief for young people in career planning and making career decisions.
